ABSTRACT:

The Internet of Things (IoT) has seen widespread applications in recent years, connecting various system devices and simplifying process control. This paper introduces the automation of a residential water feeding system based on IoT. The system was designed to automate water supply from an artesian well to a reservoir in the absence of a regular supply from the local supplier company. Key components include the ultrasonic sensor AJ-SR04M for reservoir level measurement, the flowmeter FS300A for monitoring water flow, the current transformer SCT-013 to track pump operation, and a relay module for pump activation/deactivation. Information processing is handled by the low-cost ESP32 NodeMCU board. The ThingSpeakTM service platform is used for data viewing, GoogleTM Sheets for data storage, and the Telegram® application for pump status change alerts. Output data can be accessed from any internet-connected device. This automation enables remote management of the water supply system, ensuring prompt water availability. Furthermore, the implementation can be extended to other residences with similar systems, providing information and facilitating water feeding process management.

Keywords: Automation, Water feeding system, Internet of Things (IoT).
